What will I be doing?

As a Kitchen Porter at The Victoria Hotel, you will be responsible for the cleanliness and high level of hygiene of the kitchen. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Adhere to the cleaning schedule, cleaning floors and walls regularly and efficiently.
  • Responsible for the cleaning and drying of crockery, cutlery, trays, sinks, food mixers, fridges, freezers, pots, pans, grills, fryers, stoves, extractor hoods and worktops.
  • Ensure machines are in good working order, reporting issues as soon as they arise.
  • Ensure deliveries are stored in the correct locations whilst in a timely manner.
  • Dispose of food waste in the correct manner.
  • Understand and comply with company policy on HASAWA, fire precautions, legal requirements, and perform any other tasks that may be required from time to time.
  • Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships.

02.Housekeeping Supervisor

What will I be doing?

As a Housekeeping Supervisor at the Hotel, you are responsible for ensuring all Housekeeping areas of responsibility are run effectively, communicating with other departments, training housekeepers to meet the standards set by the hotel and manage the stock control of cleaning products. Specially, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Be aware of your targets and objectives, understand how these fit within the department targets, and ensure you achieve your targets and objectives.
  • Verify and report status and/or discrepancies of rooms.
  • Manage the stock control of all cleaning products, chemicals and laundry.
  • Monitor lost and found property, stockrooms and trollies and designated inventories.
  • Assisting with the development of a proactive relationship with Guest Relations and ensuring that all rooms are cleaned in conjunction with guests` check-in/departures.
  • Perform housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Maintain consistently high standards of cleanliness and ensuring staff are all polite, courteous and look after guests needs.
  • Awareness of guest satisfaction scores and the measure put in place to meet department quality targets and objectives.
  • Assist in performance evaluation of housekeeping staff as needed.
  • Respond to special guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.

As a Housekeeping Supervisor you will supervise a team of Room Attendants whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness and ensuring that core standards are met within the housekeeping department. Previous experience of checking rooms is essential.

What will I be doing? 

  • Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations to maintain 4-star quality standards
  • Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and compliance
  • Lead, train, and motivate housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences
  • Allocate daily tasks and manage staff schedules to ensure efficient workflow
  • Conduct regular stock checks and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and linens
  • Report maintenance issues and follow up
  • Maintain high standards of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Support the Accommodation Manager

04.Full Time Restaurant Staff (all year round position)

FULL TIME ONLY –  40 hrs per week  Split Shifts  – 7.30am – 12pm and 6pm – 10.30pm – Occasional straight to include lunches.  Fully Flexible 5 out of 7 days including weekends  

What will I be doing? 

  • As Restaurant Staff at our hotel, you are responsible for working in all areas of food and beverage, delivering excellent customer service to all of our guests and non-residents. Restaurant Staff will also be required to take and deliver customer orders and work to achieve departmental targets. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
  • Prepare station for service which includes stocking condiments and linen as well as changing and servicing the cutlery available.
  • Welcome customers, issue menus and receive and record customers’ orders if necessary alongside other members of the team.
  • Serve food and drinks in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Clear and relay tables as necessary.
  • Participate in the cleaning of the Restaurant alongside the other Restaurant Staff.
  • Understand and comply with company policy on HASAWA, fire precautions, and legal requirements, and perform any other tasks that may be required from time to time.
  • Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships

What will I be doing?

  • Responsible for the ordering of quality fresh and frozen food for daily and specific needs.
  • Ensure the completion of requisitions and keep necessary stocktake records.
  • Ensure deliveries are stored in the correct locations whilst in a timely manner, whilst being the keeper of keys.
  • Maintain kitchen area and equipment, ensuring your station and utensils are in a hygienic condition at all times.
  • Be prepared to prepare and envision varying menus, on some occasions menus will change daily.
  • Deliver a speedy service whilst ensuring the quality and presentation of food.
  • Consider portion control to minimise waste whilst preparing dishes.

  • Establish relationships with attending kitchen staff and other members of staff through the hotel assisting in the delivery of service to customers.
