- Job Description
As a Tour Expert, your role is to promote and sell destination tours and excursions to guests on
board, assist during onshore activities, and ensure customer satisfaction and safety throughout
the journey.
Key responsibilities include:
● Selling and promoting excursion packages aligned with revenue targets
● Providing support during excursions, including coordination, logistics, and guest relations
● Preparing necessary materials (tickets, maps, stickers, etc.) before tours
● Reporting guest interests, requests, and feedback to the Tour Manager
● Assisting with language translations during excursions when needed
● Monitoring guest behavior and ensuring adherence to safety protocols
● Supporting injured or ill guests during excursions according to company procedures - Requirements / The Ideal Candidate Should Have:
● A high school diploma in Tourism, Languages, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
● Previous experience in Sales; experience as a Tour Operator is a plus
● Fluency in English and Italian (spoken and written)
● Fluency in either German or French (required)
● Proficiency in a fourth language such as Spanish, Portuguese, or Chinese is an asset
● Confident using Microsoft Office Suite
● A proactive attitude with strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
● Availability to live and work aboard a cruise ship for the full contract period
● Willingness to complete the mandatory STCW safety training (approx. 10 days, in your
passport country)
