Duties as below:

  • Unloading of 40ft shipping containers (Full of furniture) decanting into the warehouse
  • Picking furniture from the warehouse ready to load on 3.5 tonne vans
  • Load the vans, securing the furniture in place
  • Picking furniture for Amazon PRIME, DPD and their 3rd Party delivery partner
  • Labelling the furniture and loading onto their delivery partners’ vans
  • General warehousing duties, def ragging and creating space
  • Unloading of returning vehicles from delivery runs
  • Sorting Returns
  • Light repairs to returned stock
  • Readying items for sale on eBay

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative or Yard Operative
  • Full Clean Driving License essential
  • Experience in driving a 3.5 tonne van preferable
  • Good knowledge of warehouse activities including picking, dispatch and return

Assembly & Picking Operatives

We are looking to recruit a number of Kitchen Assembly & Picking Operatives, 
Assembly 7.00-15.30/ 16.00-00.00 basic pay is £13.83 per hour on days and £16.31 on shifts. Overtime £19.58.  This includes heavy lifting.
Picking kitchen parts 8.00-16.30 or 7.00-15.30 £13.50 per hour, overtime £19.11
 

Working on a production line assembling kitchen units using pneumatic tools. Checking quality and then packing and strapping the unit ready for loading.
If you are working as a loader, need to be trained to load and secure the units in the box of the trucks. This is to ensure when the truck is moving units are secure. Ensure all paperwork and labels are correct. Use of scanners when necessary.

FLT Counterbalance Driver/Warehouse Operative

FLT Counterbalance Driver/Warehouse Operative to work, Monday – Thursday, 8am – 4:30pm and Friday, 8am – 2pm.

What you bring to the role:

  • Experience of working in a production or manufacturing process.
  • FLT counterbalance certification
  • Good computer skills (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative is essential.
  • Excellent team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead by example and offer new ideas and working practises to help maintain a continuous improvement culture.
  • A degree of mechanical ability as the use of tools is required to perform some tasks.
  • Own transport – the site is not directly accessible by public transport/public transport not available at some shift start/finish times.

 
Duties To include:

  • Ensure packaging, labelling and overall presentation meets with the required standard.
  • Ensure finished product is correctly and safely stored in the warehouse, adhering to the safe stacking guidelines.
  • Operate equipment in accordance with instructions.
  • Show initiative and assist to minimize downtime during machine paper breaks.
  • Proactive involvement in safety systems, reporting close calls and near misses, adhering to instructions set out in policies and procedures, assisting in with the writing, development and review of risk assessments and procedures.
